Consumer, Stakeholder & Community Engagement

You can’t keep engaging the community if you never intend to marry them. – Jill Warne

Community engagement, particularly in rural communities is not a ‘one-off’ exercise, you need to establish a relationship built on trust and people can tell that it is worth talking to you because things happen, things change (for the better).

Holding a forum is not engaging with the community. It may tick a box but that’s it.

What have you done with the feedback you have received from the community, consumers or your stakeholders to date? Did you listen? Did you act?

Let me help you define and understand the community or consumer and then individualise strategies and processes to make sure that you are receiving and acting on honest and useful information.

My experience in successfully engaging across target populations – geographic, interest group or key demographic (e.g. young people) in regional and rural communities is supported by a Graduate Certificate in Consumer and Community Engagement.
